      • August 2003 Health Council meeting.  Reports from Committee chairpersons. Discussed the head lice concern district-wide and the impact upon academics.
      • April 2003 Physical Facilities.  Health Council toured the construction site of the new Bardstown Primary School.  Discussed traffic patterns, busing, food service and overall safety issues.
      •   January 2003 Physical Fitness Program.  Purchased heart monitors for middle school physical fitness program.  (Walk theWorld with BMS) 

     2002

      • February 2002 Reviewed vending machine procedures for on/off times and to provide healthier choices.
      • April 2002 Nutritional program committee developed individualized breakfast and lunch programs for students with dietary and/or health issues.
      • July 2002 Facilities committee reviewed all schools for physical improvements. Decision to investigate the heating and air system in elementary.

     2001

      •  October 2001 Health Council met with Chairperson, received reports regarding committee memberships, goals and objectives.
      •  August 2001 First Health Council meeting.  Chairpersons of the eight component areas of Fit, Healthy and Ready to Learn Guide were approved.
      •  July 2001 Bardstown Board of Education approved the formation of the Bardstown City Schools Health Council
